So let’s dive into these fun and unique quilt patterns and earn that “Conquer Curves” badge together!

Confident Beginner

Solar Phases by Bookends Quilting

Solar Phases is marked as advanced beginner, though the pillow and baby sizes are more so intermediate given the smaller curves. If this is your first time making curves, you may want to try a practice block first to get comfortable with it.

Memi’s Lemons by Cotton and Joy

Memi’s Lemons is a fun and fresh modern quilt pattern, inspired by a grandmother’s love. Memi’s Lemons is a nod to my grandmother, Memi, and her beloved lemon tree that she had in the front yard of our home. Using block rotation and reflection, this pattern is full of fun whimsy. Memi’s Lemons is the perfect pattern for confident or advanced beginner sewists ready to try curves.

Intermediate

Florally by Heck Yes Sew Co.

The Florally quilt pattern was inspired by my love for nature, especially wildflower hikes with my family.  It features flower blocks combined to make a larger floral motif.  With traditional piecing, Florally provides a lot of practice for sewing curves.  The skill level is listed as intermediate, but if you’ve sewn curves before, then it’s very approachable for a confident beginner.  I can’t wait to see what you create!

Spring Equinox by Taralee Quiltery

Spring Equinox is a modern, bold, and retro-feeling pattern. It’s a great pattern to fulfill your love of curves and is considered an intermediate skill level project. The layered colors affect is achieved by using 10 different tones that group into five pairings of a dark and light version of a single tone.

Advanced

Funkadelic by The Retro Quilter

Funkadelic is a fun and funky quilt pattern that is sure to wow you as you put it together. This quilt pattern was inspired by a mid-century modern rug I have had on my ultimate treasures list forever now. Since I know it’s unlikely to find this rug, I decided to bring this magical vibe into a quilt pattern. This pattern is versatile in two different colorways, bringing retro quilty goodness to both versions. Funkadelic is super cool, and each one made will definitely have that jaw-dropping charm. Funkadelic is an advanced pattern due to the amount of smaller curves and the number of half circles to sew. All half-circle blocks are designed to have some wiggle room for trimming.
