About the Merit Badge

The Hey, Scout Quilt Along badge is awarded to Scouts who participate in and complete the Hey, Scout quilt along. This badge encourages Scouts to join a fun, step-by-step quilting experience, creating a pennant flag-inspired quilt alongside other quilters. The quilt along fosters a sense of community, support, and accomplishment as Scouts work together on the same project, sharing their progress and learning new techniques along the way.

Requirements

• Join the “Hey, Scout” Quilt Along.
• Complete each step of the quilt pattern.
• Share your progress. This can include photos of your fabric choices, block construction, and any tips or challenges you encounter.
• Provide encouragement and feedback to other participants to foster a positive and supportive community throughout the quilt along.
• Complete the Hey, Scout quilt top. The quilt does not need to fully quilted and bound to earn the badge, but the piecing of the quilt top must be finished.
• Share your finished quilt with the Quilt Scouts community and celebrate your accomplishment!
