Rotary Blade Survivor
About the Merit Badge
The Rotary Blade Survivor badge is a badge of honor for quilters who respect the power of a rotary cutter, have learned from their experiences, and are committed to safety and precision in their quilting journey. The Rotary Blade Survivor badge is a lighthearted recognition of the perils and triumphs of using a rotary cutter. This badge celebrates the skill, precision, and occasional missteps involved in mastering this essential quilting tool. It encourages Scouts to focus on safety, maintenance, and proper technique while honoring the shared experience of every quilter who’s faced the sharp edge of a rotary blade.
