Peppermint S’mores Recipe

A cozy campfire classic with a peppermint twist.

Today, we’re heading straight to the heart of the holidays — and the campfire kitchen! Whether you’ve got a roaring fire, a toasty oven, or just a craving for chocolate, this Peppermint S’mores recipe is your ticket to instant cozy.

Inspired by the original Scout snack, this version brings a frosty twist with peppermint bark and chocolate grahams. It’s everything you love about s’mores — sweet, gooey, nostalgic — just dressed up for the season.

So grab your grahams, unwrap your peppermint bark, and get ready to bake up some holiday happiness.

Prep Time: 5 minutes  Cook Time: 3–5 minutes  Makes: 4 s’mores

Ingredients

  • 8 chocolate graham crackers
  • 4 squares peppermint bark
  • 4 large marshmallows

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Line a small baking sheet with foil.
  3. Arrange 4 graham cracker halves on the sheet and top each with a peppermint bark square and a marshmallow.
  4. Bake for 3–5 minutes, or until marshmallows puff and turn lightly golden.
  5. Remove from oven and top each with the remaining graham cracker halves.
  6. Press gently and let cool slightly before serving.

Scout Tip

Try swapping peppermint bark for dark chocolate + crushed candy canes if you’re out of the fancy stuff.

I'm Megan, your Troop Leader.

I started Quilt Scouts to make quilting feel less overwhelming and a lot more fun. Instead of guessing what to try next, I built a badge system that guides you through skills, creative challenges, and milestones—one adventure at a time.

I’ll be cheering you on as you earn badges, try new techniques, and build confidence in your quilting. Think of me as your trail guide, not your bossy camp counselor.
And yes… I might convince you to hike for the perfect quilt photo.
